Tuning Rc Car Engine

If you have adjusted your carburetor and you want to return it to what we call 'baseline settings' please follow the instructions in this guide. Temperature and altitude affect the tune, therefore these settings are a baseline only, your particular conditions may warrant slightly different settings.Your individual settings will vary depending upon many factors including humidity, elevation above sea level, ambient air temperature, oil/fuel mix, driving habits, and many more. Baseline settings listed should be considered ideal for conditions at sea level, 80 - 80° F. FORCE ENGINES - 28 & 32 series A) High Speed Needle B) Low Speed Needle C) Idle Screw D) No adjustment. Turn both adjustment needles (screws) to flush in relation to the collar/sleeve. This means bringing the top of the screw head even with the top of the sleeve or collar in which its housed. Leave the LSN (Low Speed Needle) flush with it's sleeve. Then turn the HSN (High Speed Needle) out 3 turns from closed. Closer to 3 turns in from flush will make the engine run faster, but your temperature can get too high quickly. Stick to 2 turns unless you are more experienced. HYPER ENGINES - 21 A) High Speed Needle B) Low Speed Needle C) Idle Screw D) Midrange. Do NOT Adjust! Turn both the High Speed and Low Speed needles (screws) to flush in relation to the collar/sleeve. This means bringing the top of the screw head even with the top of the sleeve or collar in which its housed. Leave the LSN (Low Speed Needle) flush with it's sleeve. Do NOT adjust the Mid-Range Needle. Call tech support if you made adjustments to this screw. Then turn the HSN (High Speed Needle) in 1 turn from flush. Closer to 2 turns in from flush will make the engine run faster, but your temperature can get too high quickly. Stick to 1 turn unless you are more experienced. HYPER ENGINES - 12 A) High Speed Needle B) Low Speed Needle C) Idle Screw D) No adjustment. Settings coming soon PICCO ENGINES - 12, 21, 26, 28 A) High Speed Needle B) Low Speed Needle C) Idle Screw Open the carburetor slide by hand and hold it in the open position. Turn the LSN all the way in, be careful not to 'bottom out' the screw with any force. You can damage the needle by bottoming it out. Then turn the LSN 8 turns out from the bottom. Do NOT adjust the Mid-Range Needle. Call tech support if you made adjustments to this screw. Then turn the HSN (High Speed Needle) to flush. PICCO MAX 21, 26 A) High Speed Needle B) Low Speed Needle C) Idle Screw Open the carburetor slide by hand and hold it in the open position. Turn the LSN all the way in, be careful not to 'bottom out' the screw with any force. You can damage the needle by bottoming it out. Then turn the LSN 7.5 turns out from the bottom. Do NOT adjust the Mid-Range Needle. Call tech support if you made adjustments to this screw. Then turn the HSN (High Speed Needle) to flush.
